NAILS, why nails?
These pieces became a favorite because of the unique technique and medium.

Originally the nails symbolized fur on his animal sculptures, which lead to the most important work of his life, using nails to create a representation of Christ. When you see his Christ sculptures made from nails, it depicts the pain and sacrifice Jesus suffered, but to Bill each nail seems to represent sin.

(Don’t we all have a few nails in Christ?)
